Le Manoir de l'Etang

This beautiful manor house hotel is steeped in the history of the Cannes film industry and opened under new ownership on 1st april 2004, with a new contemporary Italian restaurant, Il Lago.

The new owner, Camilla Richards, is a London-based swede. She purchased it and has carried out a comprehensive refurbishment.

The character and unique aspect of le manoir are perfectly preserved but the facilities have a much more contemporary feel. Air conditioning, wooden floors, and the best egyptian cotton have arrived, the restaurant is modern italian, the gardens and terraces are now under the direction of top London landscape architect Stephen Woodhams.

The twenty-one bedrooms are spread across a number of charming buildings. They are a good size and most of them face south with views of hills and the lake.

All the rooms are air-conditioned and have en suite bathrooms. We can provide fitness training, massage and beauty therapy to meet all your needs. The emphasis at le Manoir de l'Etang is on service and we will make sure that your stay is a truly memorable experience. As well as a swimming pool, Le Manoir de l'Etang has its own extensive garden.

For those who like golf, Cannes-Mougins, a european championship, is only a few minutes away. In addition there are almost ten more course within close proximity. Cannes, with its extensive shopping and great beaches, is only 7 kms away. In the hills there are several picturesque villages nearby such as Mougins, Valbonne and Biot.

Il Lago is the italian restaurant at Le Manoir de l'Etang where you can enjoy both lunch and dinner. Luigi Fiore, the chef, has composed a comprehensive menu giving you a wide choice of antipasti dishes, delicious pasta as well as fish from the region.
