Description
Welcome to Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui, Thailand. An away-from-it-all hillside resort on the mystical Gulf of Siam. Spacious Thai villas are wrapped in tropical gardens, conserved coconut groves and the amphitheatre of sky, sea and islands. Enjoy the forest spa. Dine at hillcrest or beachside. Splash in the private bay. And explore a pristine world of beaches, reefs, rainforest and sunshine. Revel in the many faces of Thailand.
"Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui is remarkable, not least because it is built on a jungly cliff face. The architectural challenge of constructing suites with private lap pools on the side of a tropical Everest is awesome, as is maintaining the slick service, whizzing room service - any service - in the buggies." Vanity Fair (UK), April 2008
Nestled on the hillside or steps from the beach, the Resort’s 60 one-bedroom villas are perfect for romantic getaways, while the 14 one- to five-bedroom residence villas are ideal for guests who require extra space and privacy. Each accommodation includes chic al fresco living spaces with a private infinity pool and astonishing panoramas of Laem Yai Bay, the island of Pha Ngan and the Gulf of Siam.
Standard amenities in all accommodations include an 81-centimetre (32-inch) LCD flat-screen television with cable programming, an iPod docking station, an alcove with writing desk, a multi-line telephone with voice mail, and wired and wireless high-speed Internet access. Guests also enjoy a wine cooler, private bar, coffee- and tea-making facilities and an in-room safe.
The Spa at Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui offers a delicate balance of refreshment for mind, body and beauty. Centuries-old healing techniques, summoning the secrets of herbal and holistic remedies, are deeply rooted in Thailand’s rich spa heritage. Further calmed by the gentle sights and sounds of the jungle, guests of the spa can retreat from hectic urban life into the authentic peace of Samui.
Lan Tania
Named after the local blue palm tree, Lan Tania is superbly located at the top of the Resort, more than 100 metres (328 feet) above the beach. Diners may sit indoors, in air-conditioned comfort; outside on the terrace, cooled by gentle breezes; or in the adjoining Lounge beneath high thatched roofs. Teak wood floors with terrazzo accents complement the contemporary, Thai-inspired décor. Both locations offer guests breathtaking views of the Gulf of Siam and surrounding islands while dining, family style, on the restaurant’s Thai and Italian specialties. To enjoy a superb Koh Samui sunset, guests may sit in the lounge area or at a specially located communal table.
Pla Pla
On the beach below, Pla Pla (the Thai term for “many fish”) serves fresh fish daily, prepared according to individual request. The menu includes a comprehensive seafood selection, meat and vegetarian options, and local dishes – authentically prepared, with varying degrees of spiciness. During the day, guests may enjoy light salads and snacks from Pla Pla as they lounge by the pool or on the beach. Pla Pla also hosts special dining events weekly, such as barbecues, seafood or luau-style dinners on the beach.
